Toilet Cubicle

Hearing the conversation of the man, I broke out in a cold sweat.

I waited for the man to leave the toilet and afterwards stuck my head out of the cubicle.  When I was about to leave there, I was shocked to find that the father of that family had already entered the toilet. What scared me the most was that  I saw him smile wickedly through the door gap...

I closed the door of the cubicle quietly and waited breathlessly lest that I would have disturbed my new acquaintance at the same table, who was now washing his face. I stared at his feet through the space at the bottom of the cubicle; meanwhile I recited scriptures in my heart, hoping that he could leave as quick as possible without noticing my presence.

Nevertheless, he slowly approached the cubicle where I was hiding and even tried to push open the door. I could sense that someone was pushing forcibly outside. It was fortunate that I had locked the door before; yet for the sake of security, I propped on the door with my back until the force disappeared.

A few minutes later, I heard the man have left the toilet already; thereafter I was brave enough to walk out of the cubicle and washed my face with cold water to calm down.  What should I do next? To pretend that nothing had happened and continued my meal, or quit immediately after paying the bill?...
